Well I thought my first post would be to hi-jack my husbands post and introduce my self. I actually got Bob for my husband for Christmas. I bought him from a friend of mine. I couldn't stand snakes, loathed it when my husband and kids had to go into the herpeterium first thing when we got to the Zoo. Snakes gave me the "willies" also told my hubby no snakes never in my house. Well long story short I can't wait to get my own snake. I am absolutly attached to Bob and well little Nanners still scares me a bit in the fact that he is so little and very squirmy. Bob is most likely going to shed this week so we will most likely get some pics done soon.

Also snake phobia has been handed down for generations in my family, but it has stopped with me and my husband because our kids love snakes.

    Welcome to the forum MrsMacWin!

That's awesome how you got your hubby a snake despite your aversion to them...and see where it's gotten you? LOL Addicted like the rest of us!

I'd be afraid of a little snake like that, too. Not afraid for myself, but afraid that he might get away or fall or get hurt in some other way because he's so small and squirmy. What sort of snake do you want to get as your own?

I am not sure yet but I do think that the blood pythons are beautiful. We have talked about getting Bob a girlfriend and when they are old enough maybe breeding. Just an idea but that will be few years from now. My daughter is also wanting her own snake so we will have to wait and see what happens. Snakes are not a cheap addiction.

I am afraid of that little squirmy thing just for the reasons you stated I would drop him, he would move so fast and I would loose him. I can't wait until he is a little bigger, he is adorable. I guess I have forgiven my husband for buying the little stinker without telling me about it first.
