I have three tubs set up, along with a couple of wire cages. I use to use glass tanks but they are not great for the rats and break easily. And a ten gallon is way too small for anything but maybe a new mother, but once the pups grow I would move them to something bigger. The tubs I did are really simple to make. I cut a square out of the lid and the front then cut out some hardware cloth a little bigger and attached it with zip ties. I got bungee cords to secure the tops, even thought the tubs I got have locking type tops, I got the everything I needed from Lowes. I made feeders from the hardware cloth and use water bottles that I attach to the front with wire.
