I have yet to meet a vet who would check a fecal sample without seeing the animal first. If you know of one who will, I'd love to meet them, and I'd love to know where that's allowed. That said, I bring a few of my animals in every year, specifically so I can get a fecal screening on them. I like to pick any animal that hasn't been quite 'right' with its feeding, etc. Once I even found something...so I treated the entire collection along with that one, just in case. (Fortunately, the vet was willing to supply enough panacur for a couple dozen animals, lol).
Parasites can come in, in feeders, so it's a good idea to take a look, once in a while.
