    It's a lot easier to get quick accurate weights on living snakes than it is to measure their lengths. I've got a 1983 male ball python which ends each feeding season around 4000 grams and measured approx. 63 inches back in 2003 when he weighed less than 3500 grams. Who knows how big the males might get since most breeders put their energy into growing up females.

    Yeah, the other owner is just sure that theirs will get 5 feet, and that all male BP's do, and there is absolutely no reasoning :) Interesting to know that it's different for every snake-- It makes sense. Thanks!
