Just food for thought, the 2 times I've lived in those big apt. complex type places they upped the rent on me pretty significantly after the first year. Say my rent was $1000 for a year, then they send you a noticed about 10 or 11 months in saying you can stay and renew for another year but your new rent will be $1500, or you can go month to month for $1800. Hope this is not the case for you. Google the name of the place and check out if there are any reviews and see what ppl say. I'm sure this is not the case everywhere, but its worth checking out beforehand.

I was born in Clearwater and grew up in that area. Have you thought about looking into surrounding areas? Dunedin is right down the road and is a smaller town, and would probably offer cheaper apartments with the amenities you're looking for. St. Pete is a decent city, though you'll find higher rent there. My sister lives in Palm Harbor and absolutely loves it there, though its a little farther away, across the bridge.

But whatever you do stay out of Pasco county! It's nothing but pillbillies there!
