    i don't have a heat gun , it is not even mounted to my glass, it is a standard low.low mew. med. med high .high heating pad you get at walmart . it was 20 dollars cheaper then any others i have seen. I have it setup under a blanket then on top of the blanket is the tank then in the tank I have aspen bark

    yes it is a human pad, which I have used before with my retic and had no issues . I have been using this setup the same way for my other snakes as well as my belated retic .. they don't burn. they aren't causing any issues I was just wondering if this is typical for a ball, since none of my snakes..including past pythons(no balls till now) had ever acted the way Gir is.
