    Your gut is right, this business is almost completely reputation, and even something minor as what you were saying could lead to much more as far as your future business.

    Personally I would feel that once money has changed hands all parties are obligated to fulfill their ends.

    I once asked a very successful snake breeder for advice. He said the following:

    "It takes a while to build a good reputation. Just make sure you always stay even-handed and fair with everyone, and eventually word will get around. Once you’ve given your word to someone, follow through and never go back on a deal, even though it may disadvantage you. The internet has changed everything in terms of marketing animals, but a good rep where people trust you is still invaluable."
