First time horseback riding the other day and one of the people I was with fell off the horse and got his foot stuck in the stirrup and dragged around as the horse went nuts and started flailing him around like a rag doll with it's hooves stomping right by his head. Luckily he only ended up with a sprained ankle but after that experience I realized how dangerous horses can be. I can't wait to go again though horses are a lot of fun!

I wouldn't have such an issue with this "quiz" if it specified giant pythons, and didn't use a freaking ball python picture. Yes, giant pythons can be dangerous, and they should be thoroughly researched and eased in to. (Every species should be, just to make sure it gets the care it requires) yes, giant pythons have killed their owners or handlers. Most cases being the fault of the owners based on poor husbandry or down right neglect. Grouping all python species into a "killer quiz" is just asinine. Pits are the top dog on the llist for deaths from dogs, so I guess I should make a quiz about how deadly canines are and have a picture of a Chihuahua as the cover. /eyeroll
I used to love watching animal planet...since they turned their new leaf and went "surprisingly human" I can't stand to watch it at all. Surprisingly close minded, and ill informed.

Yup. I miss the good ole days when AP actually liked animals. AP died when Steve Irwin died, I think. Now it is just fear mongering shows and the like.

Totally. I miss Steve Irwin, loved watching him. "Look at this little beauty right here". I still remember the day he died. I think him dying has stuck out more to me than any other celebrity that has passed between then and now. I feel sad too, for his kids, especially Bindi who he was so close too. Could you imagine what the two of them would be doing now if he were still alive? What a loss for her. :( Nope, no more good shows there. Btw, I also couldn't see questions from my phone.

Steve Irwin always talked about how beautiful and uniqe each type of animal he was talking about. He taught us not to be scared but to respect the more dangerous ones. Hed educate us about them not to fear or hate them...

All these show now do is try to install fear into its watchers about exotics.

It"s pretty bad, but in a way I'd rather have them discouraging the stupid people who decide on getting snakes based on their web page (:confusd:) than urging them to get one. Smart people do research and join this forum prior to getting a python.:)

It won't even let me take the quiz??

"python" is such a vague word.
People who use the word python to cover all pythons have NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT. Retics and burms are pythons that are potentially harmful, ball pythons..HARMLESS. People who don't know the different species of pythons infuriate me. :rage:

"We know, we know. You just won't feel complete unless you share your home with a giant carnivorous snake."

Welp...they got me dead to rights, there, gotta admit.

I just love having ginormous, vicious, killer snakes.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go tease my Dobermann until he rips my throat out.

[Friday nights do tend to be a bit boring, here]
