    68 is in the gray in my opinion. It's high enough that you might be able to just use a RHP. Personally I would use both flexwatt and a RHP (where the flexwatt is creating the hot spot and the RHP is maintaining the cool side.

    Even though RHP's don't truely raise the air temperature they heat everything below them. So if your flexwatt produces a 90 degree hot spot, and the RHP maintains the cool side at 80-82 degrees, you shouldn't have any issues. I would estimate that your air temps inside the cage wiuldn't go below 72-73 degrees in a room that is 68. I really can't see that to cause any issues.

    To answer your question about the screens, yes you do lose some humidity due to the screens. But it isn't a huge amount. Even with a heat lamp I had far less trouble maintaining humidity than I did with glass tanks.
