I'm going to pick up some frozen rats tomorrow and just give it a shot, worst thing that would happen is they wont eat them and I'll have a little midnight snack. If they don't eat them I'll just buy 2 more live mice and feed them to them, or maybe I'll by frozen mice too just in case, and I defiantly got to go pick up a scale tomorrow too. If I can get them on f/t I'll be excited and start buying bulk. Thanks again for all the advice, I'll be here soon posting more questions.

I have 2 snakes that were mouse eaters, and oh boy were they a pain to switch over. In the long run it is so much easier to feed only one rat instead of 2 or 3 mice. Try the frozen rat but make sure it is warm enough before offering it. Also is it possible to get weaned/small rats where you are? If you can I'd go for those instead of more mice. I found that if I offered mice after a skipped meal or 2 then they would keep refusing the rats. Wait them out if you seriously want to switch them over to rats.

By the way nice snakes. I really like the top one.

The more I learn the more I feel they should be eating rats and f/t rats at that. I'm just going to go for the switch from live mice to f/t rats. I've heard countless horror stories on here about how long of a hunger strike they will go on. I'm definitely going need some support if they go on hunger strike for too long but who really knows maybe they'll mow them first try.

Might be easier to transition from mice to live or p/k rat first. Then from live or p/k to f/t. The longest hunger strike I've seen was about 3 and a half months. Good luck :)

I have a couple young balls that were fed mice where they were hatched. I tried switching to rats by just putting the rats in there, I feed live, and neither of them would do anything, wouldn't even show interest, it is like they were lost. So after a few weeks of just being stubborn and just trying it that way I decided I would rather they eat, so... i started putting my live rats in the same small tub with a couple mice and their shavings to "scent" them. I would have to leave them in there for a couple hours but my two ball have eaten rats GREAT since I started doing that. My female bumblebee didn't eat for 3 weeks, I scented the rats and she has not eaten every 4 days.

I would defintely switch to rats, the size of your two look like they could handle weaned rats no issue, but try to scent them, it works very well.
