    He might be too cold. You want the warm side to be in the low 90s and if you can do it, it's better to have the cool side in the high 70s. If he won't stay in the warmth, or if you can't keep it high enough, you can move him to a smaller tank for now-assuming he's small.

    UPDATE:

    The temp on the warm side is a comfortable 89.7 degrees cool side is running at84.0 humidity is at 59 or 60 ( got to get a digital hydrometer) covered 3 sides with cardboard (worked in a pinch) changing water bowl and hides when the check comes pics to follow during feeding tonight at about 9 ish
