    The bigger the better :gj:

I really don't care much about breeding small females but I will if I believe they will not get much bigger anyway, it all comes down to age/weight combination.

The only girl I will likely breed this late this year will be my Black Pewter het Hypo which is around 1100g right now. She will put on another few hundred by the end of the year. My Hypo Mojo male is already over 500g, so that will not be an issue for him.

I think 1,500 is a good weight at 3 years old.

She's eating like crazy again and should be ready to breed again in late winter.

As for males I started breeding my enchi at 450 and he ate all season and bred 6 females. Out of the six, three never laid, I lost the first clutch, he sired a clutch for my friend and now I'm waiting to see if he sired this last clutch. The little monster is almost 1000g now. :D

Oh and for males I never had any luck breeding males below 650 grams so I don't even try anymore.

What do they look like? Or do you mean when they are like zooming arond thecage when you're cooling temps before they pair?

Idk its hard to explain what i mean. Kinra may have meant something different than what i meant but... I was talking to one breeder who said he knows his girls are ready when they start crapping near the front of the tubs (among a few other things). Now that may be stupid, but hes hatched out thousands of snakes so he must be doing something right haha. Theres no one thing that im saying you can tell by, you just have to know your snakes. Thats why alot of people who jump into the hobby looking to make a quick buck dont last very long.

I dont plan to cool bc ive heard alot of people say it makes no difference. When i have enough females ill try pairing some with cooling and without and see if i notice a difference. Until then i wont bother.

Im not saying anything in this post is right btw, kinda just my thoughts on things...
