Antibiotics are cheap. Its the office visit and culture that is expensive.
When a rescue of mine had RI, the culture was $100+. Antibiotics was just $15. The office visit was $60. Every vet is different so the prices may vary.

Re: help!!!!!!!
To the OP:
You can use a fogger to release chlorhexidine into the enclosure. It's a bacterial antiseptic, so it will kill bacteria in the lungs.
I believe it was Kitedemon who uses this method. So I suggest PMing him for details.

They have two, but one is significantly smaller than the other. (sometimes the smaller one is vestigial)

Doing a search on google images showed this

Left lung being significantly smaller than the right, is this an out of date chart? I'm curious to if they have as shown or actually have 2 of similar size. Sincerely wondering, not trying to pick sides or anything.

thats not a life like chart. Everything there is out of praportion. I work in a vet diagnostic lab and have done necropsies on quiet a few snakes. I cant show pics of client animals, but I had a persional BP that had RI and dident make it through it. When I get home from work tonight, Ill post pics of the lungs with RI,,,, and any other part you might be curious about.
