I'm a super newbie, to these forums anyways (and to BPs in general). I agree whole heartily with the sad state of text communication these days. I'm no grammar nazi, but it makes things very difficult to read and decipher with zero punctuation. I try to type like I speak, including all my weird little noises and expressions (*squeee* comes to mind) inserting commas where I would pause, etc. This is also how I read posts...so when I see a post that is about 2 paragraphs long and no periods, commas, or anything else resembling a punctuation mark appears I imagine a sugar high 5 year old talking to me. Telling me a whole story without taking a breath.
As far as respect, it is sad to see the state of it today. This has actually been one of the nicest, most respectful forums I have EVER seen. I was completely shocked to say the least to have lurked so long only seeing a little snippyness here and there. I try to be respectful of my elders on the forums, but at the same time I like to offer my opinion on things. Normally if I have a different opinion or thought in my head, or have heard differently I form it in a question. As in, I've read this, you say that, can you explain? Where did you see that, have you tried it, explain please! Not to be rude or condescending, but to learn. I have no problem being wrong, but I do like to know why :D
I am a big regurger of knowledge. I like to help people! I almost always mention that I'm very new, and in most cases have ZERO experience. Everything I say I have gotten from this site or other approved sites. I also try not to regurge random bits, but more the general tips / tricks / care info I've seen time and time again.
