    Please nobody take my comment about live so serious. I was just trying to show the point to a less expierenced keeper that may be reading this thread to think about what could happen with feeding live. If you do its cool with me. I have done it before and Im sure I will do it again. A long long time ago I had a mouse that had alot to live for do some real damage to a king snake. It was after that incident I decided that maybe thats not be the best way feed. This was before the time of the internet and before great forums like this.

    Why aren't they all listed? Because its between my boyfriend and I that we have the snakes. I have bought 6 out of the 19. Well actually 6.5 Lots of laughs. Me and him went half on a pastel adult female. But he has 3 big normal girls. One big pastel girl (that's the one we went half on). Yb get albino male. Normal het albino female. An albino female that's about 1,200 (that was a Christmas gift from me). He also has a het pied girl. A male bumblebee. A possible het pied girl. A male high white pied (I got him this one as a gift after valentines day). And then a RTB and a male and female hognose. He's got a big collection ;). And no worries about the live comment. I'm sure if you were trying to be mean you wouldve tried harder ;).

    I didnt write it to you. After all you know everything except how to answer the OP's question. Thanks for you input. It was noted that you have been unable to teach your snakes to write. Keep working on it.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
    Their question had already been answered;)
    You made the "fun" comment, you assumed the OP was a newb and you still didnt offer any further information;);)

    Now for the propper response:
    No you dont have to dilute down the betadine, you just want to make sure the wound stays clean as well as keeping the tub clean to prevent infection.

    Also (just humor me here as I know this isnt your first rodeo) I feed live to all but two or three of my snakes BUT I do monitor them to make sure they get a good strike and coil. There have been times my breeder girls are a little too hyper and grab a rat by the hind leg or better yet the "sack" of the males and I have to hold the rats head till death. It is a pain sometimes but feeding is a lot faster for me than feeding all of the F/T because most wound take a warm lump just laying there and with 30+ snakes it would take me all day to make rats dance.

    and KMG, you sir are right. I havent been able to teach my snakes to write but they do some nice art work in shades of brown. I guess they like autumn colors? I will get them to draw something for you:gj:

    I am almost certain that most keepers don't feed live because its fun, or entertaining. The majority of us feed live because we have 10+ snakes, and thawing 10+ rats and doing the zombie dance with each one can be time consuming.

    When i get the chance to raise my own feeders ill be converting my snakes back to live but for now f/t is much easier. I'll feed live bc i think its fun and wanna watch all the lil rats die. It makes me feel like more of a man, killing things and watching things be killed. Thats what real men do right? I'll prolly get more chicks that way bc ill look more of a man right? :rollseyes: :rofl:

    I think KMG just worded his comment funny guys, i got what he meant. :gj:

    OP- Your albino is gorgeous and im sure she'll heal up just fine. Sometimes lighter snakes like binos and BELs get scratches and it looks much worse than it is. If that was a darker morph or a normal youay have not even noticed the scratch. The scales are meant to protect them and they do a pretty good job! :)

    To the OP - If you want to wipe the scratch with some betadine on a cotton ball, go for it. Dilution is usually discussed when soaking an animal for a large wound. Don't bother with neosporin, it will heal fine on its own. As mentioned before, you probably wouldn't have even noticed the scratch if it had been a darker snake.

    Thank you! I told my boyfriend about the scratches when he was at work. And he told me to use the betadine and Neosporin. But to dilute it. When he got home. He said the same thing. That the scratches aren't so deep. And that if it was on a normal snake you probably wouldn't even noticed it. I guess I was worrying for no reason. Thank you for your quick responses. :)
