The 2 month old I got about two weeks ago did this same thing, It freaked me out XD. I picked his hide up and he didn't move so I picked him up and he just sat calmly in my hand for a while before deciding to move. Mine is starting to go into shed though.
So this is normal then? I DON'T have a weird python?

As long as your ball python is not bleeding, excreting mucus, gasping for air, making funny sounds, or lying on its back, then you don't need to worry.
