    thanks everyone and Marla you have been a great help.
    I have one last question or clarifaction
    It is ok if the glass bottom hits higher temps just use newspaper or such but the temps I want to hit would be from the top of the bark to about an inch down So say actual bottom temp on glass is 105 but then on top of bark to inch down is 88-92 that is good long as not over 95?

    Yes, you've got it just right. :) I'm glad to help a bp get a happy home set up. What you're concerned with most is the temps that your bp will definitely experience, then those he'll probably experience, and least those that he's not likely to experience. So if he's not likely to touch the glass, I wouldn't sweat that much. If you do catch him burrowing and going deep, I'd get more concerned at that point about bottom temp because that then becomes temps he's more likely to experience.
