No, the eggs did not get rolled. I will have a weight on the spider up in just 1 second. Let me go set up the scale. BRB

52 grams is pretty good for not having absorbed all the yolk. Hope he does well for you. I have no idea what might cause that to happen to an entire clutch.

Hey everybody, it's been over 24 hours and the little spider is still doing good. Hopefully we're on the upswing for it. I'll try to get a few more pics of it once the nub has dried up and fallen off. Thank you for all of your support in this trying time.

Hurray, The umbilical stub fell off last night. The little spider is a female.

Did you cut the clutch, or did they pip on their own? If you cut, did you disturb them with looking at them a lot to see what you got?

I've never seen twisted umbilicus in clutches allowed to pip on their own, I've seen it a lot when people cut their clutches and poke around at the babies to see what they got. I think it causes them to move more than they normally would, and get themselves twisted.

This is not substantiated with any data - just an observation that I've noticed over the years - both in posts on here, and my own personal experience with my own clutches.

Thanks Rabernet, Yes, I did cut them at day 60. I did look in at them a couple of times a day, I feel so angry at myself that I caused this disaster. What's done is done, I have to learn from my mistakes and not make them again. Reesy
