When i pick my BP up he usually feels quite warm, i only use 1 layer of paper towel, when i used to use aspen bedding i would pick him up and he would feel cold, but like the others said our body temperature is much higher then theirs.

How much substrate do you have? You could use a thinner layer and set your thermostat a little lower.

They are cold blooded, so its pretty normal for them to feel cool.

I kind of figured that they may feel a bit colder but just wanted to make sure. I keep a pretty thin layer of substrate down, probably about 1/2 an inch under the hide. Actually, she usually pushes it aside and lays right on the tank.

As long as its ok that she doesn't wander over to her cool hide very often and its normal for her to feel a bit cool to the touch, I guess I'm in good shape then. Thanks for the help!
