Southern Rock....remember Molly Hatchett and 38 Special, Ironhead??
Oh yeah........Gator Country.... Twentieth Century Fox
And dont forget Blackfoot, Lynard Skynard, Outlaws...The list can go on....I grew up near the swamp's in Florida.....That's about all I ever got to listen to.
Now I can handle SOME of the newer music that my Kid's listen to, but it is a select few. No rap though.

I'm confused ... does that mean you hate what I hate or hate what I like? BTW, I like a fair amount of southern rock, too. My kids' first concert was 38 Special and pretty much nobody jams like Allman Bros when they got going.

I like bands such as:
Fifteen, avail, jawbreaker, sick boy, jawbox, (old) Rollins band (and rollins spoken word is the best), bratmobile, down by law, nofx, etc etc etc. Most old school punk. Emo etc. also like the blues, and some old rock.
Thanks

Okay, I've been avoiding posting on this thread (even though I've been reading all the responses) because I think as far as musical tastes go, it's fairly obvious that we are a diverse group. I enjoy a wide variety of music, but Will's declaration of love for Dave Matthews has given me the courage to post and let you all know that Tori Amos tops my list of favorites.
