Been a long time since I was young and foolish enough to pick up a copper head; don't remember exactly what they look like (maybe you can post a pic). Maybe some combo of current single gene ball python genetic would get a little closer but someone was talking about a selectively bred good match and that might be more like 1,000 years breeding than 10 (3 gen top?).

From what I saw on Texas venomous laws, its a 20.00 permit for year for an unlimited number of regulated snakes. It's pretty much the big boids hit by lacy act and non-local venomous. But copperheads are native to Texas so from what I've seen it shouldn't be a problem.

I too love copperheads, they were my first venomous snakes I ever owned, hell that was over 10 years ago. But to make a ball morph, I remember playing around on world of balls and thinking that the desert enchi lesser looked kinda like copperhead. Maybe if we took that and bred it to a "genetic tiger" we could get the bands from him with the color of the desert enchi lesser and be kinda of close.

A ball python morph with the same physical appearance of a copper head would probably be worth more than that $15000. haha.

What about the sunset gene in combination with the axanthic lesser? Given that it's a recessive it might be less likely to overpower the lesser/axanthic genes than what would a champagne. I'm not sure champagne or sunset either one would really be the correct red but in combination with the other two it might just blush/tinge it red enough to get the copperhead look to it. That would be one incredible looking snake if you nailed the color and pattern both!
