She's sweet, adorable and I love her already but she's so
tiny!
I've never bought a BP this young before.
She's one month old and has been eating live fuzzies.
I bought F/T fuzzies hoping she'll eat them.
All of you who are breeders and deal with babies all the time....are they tougher than they
look at this age/size?
She just seems so impossibly fragile and delicate.
[yeah, "mom worries" again]
Nice snake you got their. She is also very bright and looks healthy. They are tougher than they look. They can fend for themselves if they wanted to. They can defend them selves, hunt, ect... Have fun with your new snake!!

Thanks!
And she ate!
I was going to wait but she just 'felt hungry' to me so I thawed out a fuzzy and laid it in her hide.
She didn't grab at it or anything so I shrugged and went to bed.
I woke up this morning to find it gone.
Yay!
Another willing F/T eater!
:banana::banana::banana:
Now she's much less restless and has stopped 'searching'.
She must have been famished.
Re: 66 grams of super cuteness!
She is just soooooooooo adorable and cute! I just want to hug her and squeeze her to bits!

Re: 66 grams of super cuteness!
Pretty little Fire you have there. Had to edit my post cause I thought she was YB until I read back through. Glad to hear she took f/t for you. We had to start ours out my daughter's with live, 5-7 day old rats for about three feedings and then got her to switch over. They grow so fast. My daughter picked hers up at Repticon the last week of January. It was 76 gms and now she is closing in on 300 gms. The YB girl she got at the October show was 87 grams and now is about 430.
We have a clutch of YB to Normal due to hatch the end of August. The eggs are about 12 days in the incubator and we candled them again yesterday and everything looks good. Hope we get some girls looks as good as yours.

Well now she's *72* grams of super cuteness! LOL
Omigosh...I really couldn't bear feeding baby rats.
I have pet rats and it just freaks me out too much.
I have 2 BPs who totally refuse F/T and I have to feed them specifically medium, male mice.
[seriously...bigger or female...they have no interest at all. weirdos!]
I love my gentle, sweet natured YB girl and I hope you'll share pix of yours when they hatch....:)
This is Ivy, who was [sort of] named after her Ivory daddy.

When she grows up, she's got a date with either my SP or my Fire.
[can't decide which]

I will share some pics when they're out. For now here is a pick of the Sire and Mom with the eggs.

Live fuzzies don't seem to move very much, except for wobbling around aimlessly when their mom gets up and goes out of reach.
I just hold them with tongs a few inches in front of the baby. I've noticed that the babies seem intimidated if you move the F/T around too much.
