Sorry, Paul, didn't catch that. I was actually responding to Damien who had said
    Quote:

my newest one i dont handle for at least 4 days after she has eaten. But Jojo lets me pick him up even the same day
and trying to explain why I feel that's a bad idea.

If it's been 3 days since a feeding and Plissken wants to explore and is seeking to come out (and isn't either staying curled up tight like he's stressed or pacing like he can't find a comfortable spot), then I see no harm in handling him for short periods. Letting the snake indicate what he's comfortable with will work well in most cases if you're good at reading your snake.

No need to say sorry Marla , thats actualy a VERY good example of what a snake would feel being jossled around with a bunch of undigested food in its stomach. Its actually a good thing to illistrate to newbies the hows and WHYS of snake keeping.

In fact I bet if you compiled all the info found at this site and organized it you could write one of the best, if not the best, and most detailed books on owning a BP.

Thanks always for everyones replys. :P

You're right, Paul, all the combined experience on this site would no doubt make for an excellent handbook for bp owners. :-) The advantage to the site is that it is interactive and always getting more informative. You've given me an idea, though: I think it would be a great idea to combine a lot of the questions and answers found on here into an e-book with everyone given credit.
