    sorry it took so long to post back about this. she is fine. took her to the vet and they said no damage was done to the bone or blood supply because of how far down the tail it was, however, I have a surgery scheduled for a couple more weeks from now, it was the earliest I could get her in.

    They have to amputate about an 1/8 of an inch or less.just to get the bone back under the skin. its such a small amout of bone that she was confident that i could have just lesf it alone. but thats not me. i dont wanna have to deall with it anymore

    Sorry it took so long to post back about this guys. I am happy to report that she has made a full recovery. No problems at all.

    In the past when I had stuck shed on the tail tip I just lightly scratched it off with my fingernail. :confusd:

    This happened to my boa. She is a rescue I picked up and noticed the tail. I'm pretty sure it is damaged permanently. If you go to the boa forum and look up 911 help you can see pics there.
