Its tough to pick a favorite but my first girl I got from petsmart is my favorite. She has always had an amazing temperament and I credit her for breaking me into ball pythons with a 6 month long hunger strike when I brought her home. :taz:

And to top it off, when she was just a wee little worm and her personality hadn't developed yet, I named her after my dad - the most wonderful man in the world, someone who hated snakes and any other reptiles with a built-in passion, but never squashed a young daughter's passion for animals or her curiosity and desire to try something new, and always referred to her with love as his "Peaches". Sorry to get sentimental, but Peaches really epitomized my dad. So here she is....

That's such a great story, I can see why Peaches is so special!

Well, technically I have two especial favorites, and no I can't choose one of them over the other.
Akashi is my pride and joy, and until she blessed me with a clutch of 12 eggs, was the biggest girl in my collection. She is huge, nearly 6' long, but she's as gentle as a lamb. She is a very beautiful snake, lovely reduced pattern and lots of bright blushing. She and I have a kind of bond, I guess is the word. She knows when I am happy or sad, or stressed out. She loves to hang out with her mommy, and we frequently just gaze into each others eyes. She is such a special snake to me, and is completely irreplaceable, even though she's "just a normal".
Koroku on the other hand is a pastel male. And not a very nice one at that. I found him at a show, and to this day I don't know how I ended up buying him and bringing him home. This thread is his back story. http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...-you-at-a-show He is the epitome of a docile ball python. He's puppy dog tame, and loves kids. He's been a big hit at a few functions I've taken him to, even the little tiny ones just adore him. I love his sweet personality, his willingness to make friends, his patience and just general " no big deal mom" attitude.

I couldn't see the pictures in the back story on your guy. But that's how my pastel is, just, "whatever" mellow, not head shy, such a great ambassador for bps. He was our second bp. Our daughter spent her own money on our first, (who was a juvenile) because she wanted it. (I was still easing into not being afraid of snakes at this point). When we met my pastel, he was grown, the guy knew my uneasiness with snakes, and just flat dumped this big baby in my arms. At that very moment, I melted and fell in love with snakes. It's all because of him, that I am where I am today. I think patient might be a great way to describe him.

For me it is a deadlock tie between my dumeril's boa (Nergal) and my carpet python (Shagrath)
Nergal:

Shagrath:

I love my Dumeril's boa because she is so calm and certainly is my favorite as far as colors and pattern goes.
I love my Carpet Python because he is so active and daring.
The 2 are polar opposites but yet I can't chose between them. sometimes I prefer one, but the next day I prefer the other.
