This board (and google) are filled with tons of info that is right at your fingertips. I think people should do their homework before coming here and trying to take the lazy way out. I can only imagine how annoying it must be for the seasoned members to see the same questions repeatedly. So for them to tell someone to "google" it is probably nicer than I would be.

yes, yes it is. I will share experiences etc randomly on repeat Q's because it is a bit old sometimes. search feature FTW.

the quality of google is a good as the quality of the statement which one googles.

with out google i would be really terrible at my job. I would say 40% of my day at work is google some new technology that no one knows anything about and they want 3 servers doing it by the end of the week. and I usually find out on a Wednesday that they want it. so when i say google it I assume the end user i say it to is crafty enough to think a little while they read.

additionally as others said google sent me here. and it also helps to read what peoples reply to posts are. Most sites now have some sort of comment section and you can figure out fast if you need to keep reading other sites pretty quick.

and besides Leah, if i am not mistaken aren't you the Google ninja? :ninja:

This. I've recently been helping a co-worker out with his son's new corn snake. Seeing as I don't keep them it's been less telling him what he needs to know, and more pointing him in the direction of all the solid information I can find. Giving him a list of websites to go to if he has specific questions was what he took most reluctantly ("It's just like any other pet, we take care of it and it'll be fine"), but since then he's come back to let me know it helped out more than he'd imagined. Most people don't think to read up any more on pets than the information they get from a pet store.

It's also much easier for us to google information on a reptile and sift through websites, whereas anyone who isn't as familiar with the hobby would see petco as a trusted source.
