It doesn't kill the eggs, but PAM lasts for 30 days after one treatment. 30 days being the life cycle of the snake mite.

I would pam once, then again in about a month.

I just got done setting up my tote. Gonna order PAM and then switch my snake over to the tote. I will treat tank once and than again in about a month than switch her back again. Mite free I hope. It's from the wood I got at petsmart :( I went back and they were all over the shelves.

NIX kills eggs and adults. I'm not sure why nobody ever uses it. It's safer, easier to get a hold of, works better than a 4 leaf clover and it's cheap. If you are interested in the NIX method, PM me. I don't feel like typing all the words I need to on my phone right now. Lol.

    Re: Mites :(
I had mites and couldnt get rid of them for the life of me!!! But, I finally found a guide and I will recommend it fully! I used just PAM and it didnt work as well as everyone else, plus I was scared I would kill me snakes if I did it wrong! :confusd: But, the secret factor in getting rid of mights is honestly Reptile Relief by Natural Chemistry (http://www.amazon.com/Natural-chemis.../dp/B000NGS4CW)

    1. Remove snake and pull off any mites you see.
    2. Spray down snake with Reptile Relief and place in a separate tub.
    3. Remove everything from tub, throwing away the substrate (outside in your big trash can).
    4. Fill bathtub with HOT water and a cap or 2 of bleach.
    5. Allow your hides and water bowls to soak for 20 to 30 mins.
    6. While items are soaking, follow PAM instructions and spray down your tub with PAM and let dry WELL!
    7. Drain bathtub and rinse off items in warm/hot water extremely well (make sure you cant smell bleach).
    8. Set tub back up and spray 1 or 2 spurts of reptile relief (dont spray water bowl).
    9. Introduce snake back into tub.

    10. Repeat as needed or every month. (I spray my tubs with reptile relief about once a month and that is it)

If you have any questions let me know. I tried a lot of stuff and this cleaned the problem right up from 4 of my snakes.

    I hope this HELPS!

Wow, good way of putting it. I actually have been using a product directly on my snake and it's called dirasic mite or something. Works good on her, but can't get it out of my enclosure. I would rather have her In a tub anyways, so I set one up. Maybe I'll have to buy another snake now haha. Thanks again for the guide!

I'll do an update. Have reptile relief and PAM on order. Also ordered a thermostat. Tub is holding temp but humidity is way to high. Gonna make a few bigger holes on the sides. So I am giving myself many options . Thanks for all the help and information. I sure am learning lots. Thanks again guys!

Anyone still following have another update. Got all my mite stuff in the mail earlier this week. Pam, reptile spray, and a thermostat for my tub. Did the Pam spray in my tub first, then did my 20 gal enclosure. My snake was in another tote while I was doing this btw. Let everything dry for about 20 min. Then fanned the tub for another 5 min straight to ensure it was dry. Transferred my bp into the tub, where she will stay for a month or so, unless I decided to just stick with the tub. My tank I'm going to let sit for a while before I touch anything. Want the Pam to do its job for a few weeks. Then I will clean out the tank again add new bedding. Clean all the decor. Then put everything back in and do another Pam treatment and let sit for a few weeks before I put my snake back in. Or purchase another one :) I am going to use the reptile spray I bought on my snake, not the Pam. Did lots of research on what needed to be done to kill mites. Hopefully I went overboard for the safety of my snake. If anyone is still following read my post and let me know. Hopefully it makes sense. Thanks for the help guys.
