peanut just began shed, got his eye caps off and the little white thing is still there... it's not a piece of shed.

Well, Eddy finished shedding last night, and the membrane is gone. Whether it just pulled back into the eyesocket, or came off with the shed, I don't know. I forgot all about it when I threw his shed away.
Here he is tonight: http://img15.photobucket.com/albums/...ropeddyeye.jpg

weird randy... peanuts does look a little better i guess, but it's still visible if you took hard enough.

Hanover's eye is now looking like Randy's second pic, so now I want to know what this is as well. Geez, what's with these guys?

I am wondering if the membrane got pulled out of the eyesocket slightly during the previous shed for some reason. If it was stuck to the eyecap better than it should have been, and it took more force than normal for them to seperate the eyecap from the membrane underneath, and while pulling, it stretched the membrane out. Strange that three of us had it happen, though.

Randy, that's an interesting theory, but I don't think it applies with Hanover because he's about to have his first shed with us and didn't have the white showing when I got him on 1/17. Also, his humidity is hovering around 63%-65%, so I'm sure it's not from dehydration. He should shed in the next day or two, so I'll definitely report whether the white disappears afterward.

if it does disappear then i won't worry about peanut's, but like i said he just shed yesterday... and it just got a little bit smaller.
