I have ordered from layne labs and rodent pro. Price and quality are very comparable. No complaints about either. Rodent pro does have some awesome sales sometimes!
I suggest going local. Though I used to order from Big Cheese Rodents. If you really want to have them shipped to you I recommend them. They vacuum seal their rodents neat and clean for long term storage. Shipping is also cheaper when I compared it to other mail order suppliers.
Since then I've gone to a local supplier in my neighborhood. He is now a good friend of mine. We usually end up talking about the rats, snakes, etc... The advantage to going local is you save considerable money on shipping. I get my frozen medium rats for $1.50.
Not only that but I've seen his operation. What he feeds, and how clean he keeps his rodents, its pretty close as you can get to raising your own feeders. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

does he do orders say 300 medium rats? im in LI as well and after my last rodent pro order i prob wont be using them again.
