    when i first got my snake i fed it within 4 days and he as been fine ever since :)

    There are lots of people on here I have read that will offer food first day, and it seems like they always eat. I go with whenever their next scheduled feeding day would have been, so however many days that may be.

    I fed my snake about 2 days after I got him. Same as you described, he was looking for food so I fed him.

    I use care sheets as guidelines but also try and realize what would happen in the "real world" for the critter too.

    I will let him be in his new enclosure for 4 to 8 hours, then I offer something smaller than usual. if he's too stress he won't eat. but most will. and if he's still a little stress, the smaller rodent is a little more insurance against a regurg.
