Can you post a few photos of your set-up? Or, describe it in detail.
    - What are the dimensions of the tanks floor?
    - What are the dimensions of the Under Tank Heater?
    - Is there a gap under the tank?
    - Do you have anything covering the sides of the tank?
    - What are you using to cover the top with?
    - What is the wattage of the bulb?

Don't get discouraged. There is no need to get a new set-up just yet. There are a few inexpensive cosmetic modifications that you can try first.
Once you post photos and/or answer the questions, we can see what route to go.

I might have a couple to add?

    - What's the typical temperature of your house/place the tank is located?
    - Do you have the lights on a cycle? If so, what hours?
    - Is your tank near a window/computer/anything else that can add or reduce heat?

My ball python is in my room. I have centeral air set on 70 degrees in the summer so it does stay cool in my room. Its set on a old computer desk with no computer or electric source near the tank. The window and vent for air/heat is on the opposite side of my room. And the lights sre set on a 12 hour on 12 hour off cycle with the heat pad on 24/7. I hsvent posted pictures yet because today i am redoing his whole tank. Im getting a acurite thermometer and blacking out the sides and back of the tank. Also im increasing the size if the water dish snd replacing one hide with a more snug one. I will post a pic of the finished tank tonight. Im debating still about coconut husk or cypress mulch bedding to raise the humidity. Also will the acurite thermometer with the probe have to be placed inside the tank to measure humidity? Im using a junk probe from the pet store.

Ok so I have posted some pics of my enclosure. I moved my snake to a 20 gallon long to last him a little bit and fit the new acurite thermometer. I got cypress bedding, 2 bigger hides (not identical but he's using both already), I blacked out the sides and back of the tank, and bumped the red light to a 50 watt. The heat pad is measuring at 92 and the heat bulb on the "cool side" is at 79-82 degrees. The humidity is around 40% but a lot better then the 25-30% with the aspen. I haven't misted the tank yet since the cypress is already moist. He looks more active since I switched him to a larger tank but Im going to wait until he gets settled in his new tank now to offer him his first meal since getting him friday. BHB feeds live so I am going to see if I can switch him over to f/t fuzzies. Any input on his setup will be appreciated.

In order for us to see the pictures you need to host it on the internet on a site like photobucket or flickr, or here on bp.net galleries, and then link it :)

The accurite measures 3 things, 2 temps and humidity. The "outdoor" temp is from the probe and the indoor temp and humidity are taken at the unit, so you will need to put the whole thing in the enclosure.

Cruising around a new setup is pretty normal, he should settle in soon and spend most of his time in the hides.
