I soak for stuck sheds or if they think it's cool to move around in their urine and when I pick them up it's dripping off of their body. I'm not into pee scented snake cologne. :D Oh and I have done it for dehydration too. Does the pedialyte or gatorade actually work?

I only soak for specific reasons, like being covered in poo or blood from a rodent...

Hmmm I guess the only thing I can compare it to would be human skin. I mean, ours is made of the same stuff too right? One person can take a 30 minute shower and come out with normal skin, another can do the same thing and come out with dry skin, and another could come out with oily skin. I think although snakes' skin is technically made of the same stuff, each species probably has it's own specific tolerance for water? I don't know, I'm no biology major, but it made sense in my head lol.
