Re: NEED ADVICE. Baby out of egg, but still attached.
Ok so I just went and checked on her and she was now separated from the egg. Only thing is she didn't absorb her egg sac. So now what am I supposed to do? Try to feed her? Wait? Also she has a little bit of the cord still attached on her. I rinsed her off best I could but there is still some debris attached to the cord.

EDIT: Also she weighed in at only 33G when her sibling weighed in at 65G.

Should I be worried about this? Should I try to clean it.

Thanks for your help guys. First timer daddy here.

I'm confused. Wat do you mean by "egg sack?"

    Yolk.

It depends on how strong she is and how thin she is. I wouldn't want to stress her out with a force feed if she's got good strength. Not being there to see how she is - it's hard to really advise.

I've not had one separate from the yolk before absorbing it all, so I haven't had to make a decision on what to do. I would think getting a meal into her soon is going to be important.

Hopefully someone will see this who has had a similar experience and what they did to get some protein into their kiddo.

I agree with Robin. Without seeing the snake its hard to really say. Dave Green on here has a snake that jsut hatched that seemed to be weak at first an has been getting better daily. Maybe shoot him a pm an see if he can lead you in the right direction. Keep a close eye on he\she. Shes going to prob be on the weak side an need a meal asap but you dont want to put anymore stress on it.
