Bumblebee bad head wobble....

I am getting a little more used to it. I had never heard of it before that day, and i looked it up on my way home with her. Last I heard or seen a snake like that, it was a neuro disorder and the snake died :( so need less to say i was shocked. I purchased her at a show and the guy said they all have it, and touched on it a little, but when i got her home,,wow! she does 360's! You would think she would tie her self up in knots. I will try to figure out how to add pics. she has definately grown on me a bit though, mostly cause i feel super sorry for her. i call her dumbee, like dumbo,, but a bee :p

All ball pythons have the two squishy spots at the back of their heads. It's on either side of the back if the head, and I believe it's fat reserve. Nothing to be concerned about.

I think reputable breeders should disclose any wobble when it comes to spider morphs. One o my first morphs was a male spider ad he has one of the most extreme wobbles you have probably seen. He just sits in his tub an corkscrews. Couple of times I thought he was dead because he was laying completely on his back not moving. He does eat but I'm lucky if it's every couple to few weeks. I've seen him eat completely upside down. No information was given to me when I bought him from the breeder. Again I Gould have asked but I too was new. He is now about 3 years old and only weighs 400g give or take. I've been working with him and taken him to a vet several times a he seems to be putting on some weight finally.

I took this as a lesson. As a breeder I will make sure I disclose any wobble on any snake with the spider gene to potential buyers. This guy even though he has the coolest reduced pattern stripe will not be bred for obvious reasons.

My very expensive Bee from a very famous breeder is like that.

Sometimes I worry that he's dying.

He really corkscrews and thrashes around, often winding upside down.

He was supposedly a 'real power breeder' but blimey if I can imagine how he managed it.

When I put him in with my girls, he went all "Joe Cocker" and nothing got accomplished.
