OK i have been having a problem with my Caa not eating live rats. But he gets scard and he curles up in a ball. So i just take the rat out and keep it till i try to feed again. Then sometimes it dies . and im getting real sick of wasting money. Is there any tips or ideas you all can give me please. thanks Aaron should i try a smaller rat or what . i really want to get him on killed or F/T rats thanks

wait are you saying you buy feeder rats and if your snake doesnt eat, the rats die of starvation?
has your snake ever taken a rat for you? maybe it only likes mice. if it wont take a live rat and it wont take a f/t rat then you should try feeding mice. if that doesnt work after a few tries, then you could try gerbils. how old is your snake? is it just fasting for winter?

Yep my man Plissken gos through the whole stalk, strike, wrap round, and squeese routine with F/T. I just take the breeders suggestion and get the prey items temp up to resemble something giving off body heat.

If you don't want to pay the shipping charges by ordering rodents online, you can keep an eye out for local herp shows. It's even worth driving a couple of hours to save on the shipping charges because you get to enjoy a great herp show as well! All the ones I've ever heard of have roden suppliers there with plenty of frozen feeders you can stock up on. And while there, you can see if any of them actually have their businesses in your area and you can buy from them between shows.
