Yep. I'd assume every snake in the rack has mites, and treat it accordingly. They can move far and wide in a surprisingly short amount of time!

Could have been anything. All it takes is one mite or one egg from anywhere and they spread like wildfire. I got them from a couple new snakes I got for Christmas and the PAM cleared everything right up within a couple days. Good luck.

And one can goes pretty far. I still have about half left and I have 17 snakes and my beardie that I treated the enclosures with. Not sure if you have any invertebrates, but be SURE you don't spray anywhere near them. I actually temporarily relocated all my tarantulas to a closed room for a week while I was treating, apparently it kills them too.

Perry had mites when I first got her and we were told that vegetable oil will take care of them. So we cleaned everything and put oil on her, cleared them right up. Starting from the base of the skull and going completely down the body. Idk if anyone else has tried it but it worked for me.

That's okay for treating the snake itself but does nothing for the eggs and the enclosure. It's very good for suffocating those buggers though.

When I spray my rack with PAM do I need to wipe it down with a warm wash cloth? Again thanks for your help!

When it comes in, read the directions on the label word for word. No more, no less. If I remember correctly you spray the enclosure, let it air dry. Make sure you remove the snake first lol.

Indeed, spray, let dry. Without reptile of course.

Get ready to clean the enclosures and snakes every day until that Pam comes in, it's a hard road ahead but it's manageable. Get your animals on paper towels ASAP. Give them a good bath making sure to dunk their head. Mites love sinking into their pits and eyes. You can work them out with a wet q-tip and pop them out like pimples, they will burry into the scales. All you can do now is make your snakes life a little better until the Pam comes in.

Defiantly plan on doing this as I am a clean freak when it comes to my snakes already! Thats why I feel like I did something wrong because I try my best to avoid mites

Nah it happens to the best of us. Don't worry about it, just take care of your animals. :)
