I might consider using it for insulation if the basement gets cold enough this winter to warrant it. Since we've only lived in the house for a few months, I don't know if it will be needed or not. I won't be using it to avoid bothering the neighbors with noise, though, since what I'd have to soundproof would be the living room and that just ain't gonna happen. :)

Kids would find a million things to do wih it - but I agree the first thing I thought of was sound baffles and soundproofing or insulation.
