I would suggest using a different thermometer & hygrometer first. Once you get a better handle on the temps i would bet the snake starts eating again
I'll venture out to WalMart today and pick up a digital thermometer then. Any other suggestions?

Incidentally, does it make a big difference where the thermometers are placed? Currently I have one in the middle of the far right third of the tank (warm side) and one in the middle of the far left third (cool side), both on the back wall ~6 inches from the substrate, but is there a more accurate way to place them?

The snake isn't floating around 6 inches above the substrate. Make sure when you take temps that you're taking the SURFACE temp. That's what I meant by what I said. If it's 90 degrees 6 inches above the substrate it's probably stupid hot at the surface.
