Look at how cloudy and dark the setting was. When the kid pokes it with a stick its really dark and kinda outta focus. But then when it jumps up the camera autofocuses perfectly on its face for a second or two and the lighting is perfect so you can see its face. I dont buy it...

i didnt think it was a real video it looked fake to me. but they insist its real and that it was the actual video taken that day

pretty much how i interpreted it. if its not real, and i dont think it is or was meant to be, it was pretty entertaining to me. if it IS real then they did a crappy job of making it look real.

lol I watched that show last night...it was made to ENTERTAIN, I don't believe it was made to be taken seriously (though I wouldn't tell anyone who believes in mermaids that they're dumb, there's weird stuff that's discovered everyday. Who says there's not a mermaid-like creature out there somewhere? -shrug-). But as mentioned already it was a "what if" show meant to entertain IMO. Take the "truth" and the "real footage" mentioned/showed in the show with a grain of salt.

Obviously mermaids are a staple of the burm's diets that are "infesting" South Florida...

And if the government doesn't act quickly all of the Mermaids in the world will be gobbled up by these vicious man-eating vermin. lol

At the end of the show it said in fine print it was all fiction and speculations, besides that sound they recorded called the bloop. Also if you IMDB the show it says the same thing.

If it weren't for River Monsters I wouldn't watch AP at all. I miss old AP and old Discovery.
