    But they produced...

female queenbee with a killer stripe...

The bee's in the clutch had very little striping, but as you see spider can throw some striped offspring, no extra genes are needed to do so.

ok i see.but now would it be passed on from her to who ever you breed her to?with him it seems to be passed on

Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't, only breeding him multiple times would let you know if he passes it on more than occasionally.

I don't know if the stripes on the females I produced will carry over to the offspring, I'd assume some will get it and some won't, just like my black pastels that are jungle pattern also throw blush back black pastels

    Too soon,
They need breaks between pairing, a couple days is not always enough time for the female to recuperate.
I usually only pair once a week or less often depending on the pairing and how many lock ups they do.
If they lock multiple times in the couple of days that they are together I give the female a week or so off before pairing her again.

Just because it might be genetic does not mean it has to be a recessive trait. G-Stripe is a recessive, but that does not mean all stripe patterns are.

I do think that some stripe patterns, and some reduced patterns are genetic...and possibly are due to single genes. People simply aren't bothering (for whatever reason) to identify them as a morph.

A pairing of 2 recessives would explain why two non-striped animals would consistently throw some striped offspring.

I have a female that throws striped lessers when I pair her with a specific lesser male.

We may be able to create some very distinctive looks if we pay more attention to these 'just a reduced normal' animals, and to the striped ones as well.

thats what i plan on doing.once i find out if he deff passes the stripe down on my end.it just adds more style and attitude to the paint job of the morph.i think.

looks like a pretty normal low white spider to me. the neck stripe near his head is neat, but nothing really all that special imo

Haven't genetic reduced bp's been around for a while now? David Fernandez (I think that's his name) used to have pics of some killer reduced pattern (but otherwise normal) bp's...
