Just looked up prices on indigos... Woo think that's a touch out of my price range for a pet that I'll probably never breed.

You want a big snake that's not a python? Can't go wrong with a boa!

Boas are a little too big for me right now too as far as girth. I don't want to feed rabbits.

And the red tail racers look pretty awesome dr del.

Boas don't need rabbits. How about a Black Milksnake?

Bullsnakes can get to impressive sizes but never so big one person can't handle them(though they'll try their darndest to convince you otherwise).

^ They do just fine on large/jumbo rats. I don't know anyone personally who feeds adult rabbits to their boas (seen a few classifieds posts about people feeding their large females buns but IDK): the guy who me and my bf get feeders from has a big Dum female and she's on rats and she's CHUNKY.

Boas can/will eat rabbits. It is just not required :) I don't feed any of my Boas rabbits and they do just fantastic. I have no issues with growth or longevity.

None of our boas eat rabbits either. Even our huge dumerils female, whose around 8 foot ( and that's pretty dang big for a dumerils boa )

I say if that's what your first choice was, stick with it. I love dumerils :gj:
