Another thing to think about, there is usually a cherity auction for USARK on saturday evening of that show! The auction contains animals, equipment and dry goods that are donated by the vendors of the show. The public is welcome to the auction and you can get some unbeleivable deals sometimes! BP morphs are donated to the auction quite a bit!

    Fidget, Welcome to BP.net!

You are certainly asking the right questions and getting some great advice! You're well on your way to being a great snake keeper. Good luck in finding your BP....well, your first one anyway. BPs are just like potato chips...nobody ever stops at just one chip ;)

Wow, so great to get so much good info from all of you. thanks, thanks, and thanks. I know, it's gotta be better to meet your 1st bp in person, right? It's just hard to wait it out for baby season! But...more time to work on his/her home.

I'm in Orinda! That's just 5 minutes from Oakland through the tunnel.

(Well, I'm in Orinda sometimes. I'm in Davis most of the time for University)

Former bay area resident of 11 years here (SF, Cupertino, Las Gatos, San Carlos I lived all over)...

I got my first and only two ball pythons at a local expo and couldn't be happier. There is a downside though - sorta.... You get to see some of the most gorgeous snakes in the world and realize that many of them cost as much as a car...
