Looks kinda like Brian Gundy's gold blush Mojave line...

Did you ask to see the parents? Maybe that would help a little

Thanks much for all the input. I should be getting some newer pics in a few days. The pairing was butter x normal. It sorta of looked mojoish to me espescially when comparing to mojo's the seller had also. The real dark back and strong yellowish stripe really threw me on the butter. It is possible it was an older photo from when it was younger also.

I thought it looked clearly like a lesser.

Now see, I don't see butter or lesser.

I see a ridiculously reduced Mojave.

I guess we all see things a little differently.

Of course, someone at the show here this past Sunday had a snake this dark they were calling a butter male, and were asking $60 for it. It did not sell. That should tell you something.

If it is a butter, it is much too dark for my tastes. Butters should be creamy and bright, not like this one is.

I see lesser/butter. I'm guessing that's just an overly dark picture.

A solid indicator for mojave are the key holes on the sides. Even reduced patterned mojaves have key holes. That looks 100% lesser/butter.

The members of bp.net have voted on the topic of butter/lesser and the majority voted that they're essentially the same morph :gj:.

I would pick it up simply because it's unique :gj:. As mentioned earlier, lessers/butters are extreeeemely variable when it comes to pattern and color! I've seen cool colored mojos but one thing that remains consistent is the keyhole pattern :gj:.

I still say butters and lessers are the same snake just different lines. And no way does that look like a Mojo. IMHO

Mojo's usually have holes in their alien heads. To me this snake looks like a dark butter/lesser. Since butters tend to be darker and lessers tend to be lighter i probably would have called that snake a butter. Mojos also have sorta a purplelish hue to them imo, which im not seeing here.

EDIT: x2 to what h00blah said about the keyholes. I posted before i read his response! :)

Dark lesser. The pattern is wrong for a mojave.
