Here are 2 good thermostats, what you are doing right now is a pretty serious fire hazzard. Heat pads must be regulated by a thermostat. Without one they can easily get up to 150+ degrees.

the heat pad does not have a thermostat, i couldn't find one to buy. i don't have it directly under the tub i have wrapped it up in many towels so the temperature stays around 89

I'm sorry, but that sounds like a fire waiting to happen. Thermostats are a little pricey, but they are an essential when using a heat pad. Please do the right thing and get a t-stat ASAP.

ok i didn't think that could be a fire hazard, can you pick them up at local stores like Canadian Tire?

I don't think so, you might be able to find a hydrofarm thermostat in a local gardening center.

I would ask forum member Kitedemon, he probably knows the best places to get them in Canada...

Don't waste your money on the thermostats sold in pet stores, they aren't worth your money.

i wouldn't know where else to get them here, like i said were only like a "city" of 8000. i don't think he could wait without heat for one to come in online. it would take like 3 weeks from the USA to here.

Get a lamp dimmer to hold you off until you can get a thermostat shipped to you.

This will work short term: http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/...5f%2d100001525
