One thing that everyone should know about me. I was built to hold out and if I gotta sit on these guys for a while, I'm ok with that. We aren't desperate.

Exactly and the longer you sit and the bigger those girls get the more cashola you should be able to fetch for them!

Oh I know! Everyone seems to have this awesome connection where they can get stuff at ridiculously low prices, yet they always feel the need to try and get our stuff too. Like we can't see through their crap.

Exactly! If it comes to it, well, we'll have a few extra breeders this fall and make even more with their offspring. :gj:

$650 is a slap in the face, the pin is worth $700 alone and the mojo about 1000-1100. was the guy drunk? the only time i would ever low ball someone like that was if the snake seemed very sick and i knew it was going to cost me vet bills to get it health again, or I'm on canal st/jamica ave and I'm not spending $50 on something that cost $3 to make.

Your price is 110% reasonable. That guy is crazy. Must be the same guy who offered me $20 for a breeder normal and said my price of $150 was unreal.

I had that happen to me.

Had a really lovely butter female at 350 grams on my table for $300. I saw several at other tables for $325-$450, so I knew I was being reasonable.

Guy come over, looks at her, and says "You'll never get $300 for her. But she is fairly nice looking. I'll give you $75 for her."

I laughed out loud at the guy and told him I didn't think so. He got really miffed and said, "Well, just so you know, I already picked up two for that, so I guarantee you won't get more than that."

I told him I'd happily give him $100 a piece for the two he'd just bought, I could always use more butters and I knew I could make my money back and then some.

He said he didn't believe in flipping snakes, so he certainly wasn't going to give me the snakes he just paid hard earned money for.

At that point, I just broke up laughing and couldn't stop. He walked off in a huff.

A butter for $75 might be a little hard to come by (I've never seen one anywhere near that low), but pieds have come down a late recently. I've seen several for $450-500 range. Local gal we talk to just picked up a really nice medium white early 2011 pied male for $500. Give it another year or two and you'll get your pied for $400. :gj:

I understand where crazy low ball offers can reach near offensive levels, but it's part of the hobby. At the very least, the guy was being honest with you about his intentions...if he had made what you would consider to be a reasonable offer, they wouldn't be of much value to him.

I hate when people tell me they can get whatever morph I'm offering for way less that what I'm selling it for and then offer me literally half of what the snake is worth. I usually tell them to go get their snakes for dirt cheap from somewhere else.
