Problem with heating pad

yeah i'm laughing too, but it's okay man. being struck at by a python is a lot scarier than painful if it tags you, just keep that in mind. and also, i think your problem is he is just stressed. he isn't used to his surroundings yet. give him about 2 weeks, then try to feed him. if he eats, then give him a couple more days and begin handling him.

Whoa, that's weird about the "safety" features on a human use heating pad. The ones I use have been on every since I got them. I guess they don't care much about my safety, eh? :lol:

Oh, and the striking part. Ah, nothing to worry about, even more so that he is young. I have a ball python I am hesitant to hold every once in a while. I think he goes through mood swings, lol. He sure lets me know when it is time to let him be, that's for sure. Nothing to worry about though, we keep in touch, lol.

The more he gets used to your presence, the calmer he will become. And it does sound like a slight case of stress. He is in a new environment, just let him get used to it, and he should be fine.
