Of course, normals just use to be normals and sold as such. Now days people try to find something different in everything call it a dinker and jack up the price. In some cases they may actually be and have turned out something different but not with most.

More and more I see snakes advertised as dinkers because of an odd pattern or blushing. Then they're sold any where from a hundred dollars and up, some for morph prices with out being proven.

But if you see something you like, have the money and willing to take the chance then why not. It's a decision we have all had to make at some point, :) that's why we call them dinkers. What might be a dinker to me may not be to the next person.

Although I do agree it's getting out of hand, the way things are going they're all dinkers until proven other wise.

I saw that on FB earlier today as well. Hilarious.

I do think that the term is used WAY too much.

It's gotten to the point where I just automatically skip over any ad with the word "dinker" in the title. It's a shame, the term used to be used to point out some really cool animals.

Also skipped are anything "amazing", "outstanding", "incredible", "insane" and "exceptional". I was always disappointed.

In my opinion it is NOT a dinker unless it is a unique looking "normal" which actually came in from Africa. Only the crazy unique imports should be allowed to hold that title.

I laughed at this too. I saw it on FB earlier :)

Has anyone seen the TOGO dinkers listed on kingsnake? gotta love this time of year with all the baby bags coming in. They are cool looking whith lots of orange on the sides but he's asking $250 for a normal hatchling that he paid less than $200 for 10. lol I got a couple like that to in my baby bag.

That pic is really funny lol
And to answer your question: yes. I believe the term is being way overused. I would say only about 1 out of every 10 "dinkers" i see are snakes that i would actually deem worthy of the title dinker.

I'd only buy one if it has a clean belly. I had bought an import dinker for $250 awhile back and only bought her because she had a clear belly.

That's great! Loved the belly part: Hell, as long as it has a belly. That made me snort a little!

It's great but it was way more funny before it was edited. Something about that one word that added a little extra zing to the brown!
