Looking for some advice. I'm going to the NARBC expo in Arlington Texas this coming weekend and was looking to pick up a male to breed to her in about 2 years time. (she's 1 year and a couple months now so timing is perfect)
My budget is about $250 max. So Ive been looking at pastel combos. Someone already mentioned a firefly... And of course I think she could produce some sweeeet bumblebees...but I'm leaning towards getting a cinnamon male to produce pewters and hopefully starlings down the road...
Suggestions? Sound like a good plan? Mind you this would be my first breeding pair and I still have 2 years to go before I could pair them up lolol
I honestly would save up a bit and spend a bit more on the male and get a 2 gene male. A cinny mojave would be neat to pair with her or a bee for killer bees. An enchi might also be good to pair with her. There are endless possibilities with a pastel female so it all comes down to what you want to do. Also if you don't plan on breeding them for 2 years you have plenty of time to find the right male. Males can/will breed at a much younger age. :)

^ agreed. Go with an amazing two gene male. You have plenty of time to save up and go big!
