Agreed. I have housing for rats at home in case I need to double upon an order or keep anything that was not eaten (you know how it is) and the smell is not so nice. Rat breeding IMO needs a dedicated room with a high output exhaust fan running 24/7 ;)

I would get 2 bags of pups, and a bag of the next size up at least.

I've kept them for as long as 8 months with no problems.
