oppinion if its a fair trade?

Option 1 (Long Haul): keep the OD female and pair her up with one of your boys...Sell the offspring, and invest in an exceptionally good quality mystic potion...
Option 2 (Instant Gratification): Trade/sell the OD female for a mystic male hatchling and a mojo female with some size on her...

In the long run:
You will eventually get a mystic potion either way...
option #1 you will not only get a mystic potion, but will also get a few awesome holdbacks in the process (to make super ODs combos!) and make some extra $ while also working towards your ultimate goal which is the potion...
option #2 You can breed for mystics yourself and perhaps even slay the odds and make even more $ than you would if you kept the OD girl...

Up to you which direction that you want to take :)

Wouldn't even think about it.

I can see the arguments that it is lop sided price wise, but it all really depends on what you need for your breeding plans. If having the male would benefit you greatly then I would trade with maybe be a little cash on their end. The OD projects are sweet, but it may not be the direction you are going.

Extra females on hand never hurts breeding plans...

I wouldn't trade an OD female for a 1.1 pair of mystics, let alone a single male.

I see a LOT of potential in the orange dream. I didn't know how much potential it would have (from what I've seen, the single-gene ODs are kinda pretty, but don't look like much of a "morph") until I saw Ozzyboid's latest offering of combos on his site. Those few snakes rocketed that morph from my "Meh -- I don't get it" list to my "Holy crap, need a few of these!" list right away, and I'd imagine I'm not the only one ...

I would predict that they're going to hold their value pretty well for awhile as those combos ramp up demand -- especially female ODs. Another thing I really like about it is we've got all kinds of hot "super" combos floating around -- so we know that both sexes must be good and fertile. And, with the super combos looking that good, females are going to be in especially high demand.

Mystics, on the other hand -- while their super combos are also great looking -- are becoming more and more commonplace. I wouldn't be surprised if male mystics were <$1000 this upcoming season (purely speculative, of course, but based on looking at prices last year and knowing market trends).

If it were my project, I'd keep the OD female any day. It seems that there are LOTS of combo males that could make some really killer stuff with that female.

I just saw a female mystic for $1000 at a show. She didn't sell. I was tempted but they are coming down in price, ODs are going up. Other things to think about are how well is she eating and putting on weight.

she is eating like a champ. little over a month old and already ate 3x and getting moon eyed. her brother on the other hand will probably need to be assisted on the next scheduled feed day. :( I bought a pair with hopes of getting him up to breeding this upcoming season and didnt have plans for the girl because I knew it would be awhile before she would be ready. but the thought was supers later if it truely exist.

Ok folks thanks for all the imput. I have decided to pass on this offer. The guy wouldnt budge wanted straight up my girl for his mystic male no kicker mojave. However, Major League Reptiles if you've got 1.1 mystics for an OD we may have to talk lol. Ive been thinking and id love to see a mystic potion orange dream in the future and i'd love to be the one to make it. so gotta find a way to talk momma out of the check book. lol Thanks and happy herping to all.
